WaterRower Rowing Machines
The WaterRower was designed in the mid 1980s by Yale and National Team Rower John Duke. Duke established WaterRower Inc in 1988 in Rhode Island. WaterRower’s headquarters is still in Rhode Island, in a small town by the ocean called Warren.
WaterRower Rowing Machines are built in the United States, using ethically sourced materials. The unique water resistance provides an exercise experience unlike conventional rowing machines that use air resistance.
The unique element of rowing with water as the resistance is that the water resists your efforts with exactly the same force you apply. This means that the exercise is entirely self-regulating. If you want a gentle workout, pull gently, if you want to train hard, pull hard – the water will resist exactly your efforts.
WaterRowers are beautiful. Whether you choose one wooden models, from ash, cherry or walnut, or a metal model, like the M1, there is no question that you will be buying something that is both functional and pleasing to look at.
